Flying into O`ahu is a great opportunity to see the island from a different perspective. On sailing I will make a short video or two to show that perspective. The following clips should give a little idea of where our journey will begin.

Approaching Honolulu from over Diamond Head, looking toward Pearl Harbor. Ford Island is in the center of the harbor and the KA will be moored just fore of the wreck of the Utah.

Approaching the Honolulu airport from the Northwest over looking toward Waikiki and Diamond Head.

These two short clips can help put into perspective where we will be starting our cruise from. Art and I will be meeting on the afternoon of the third and going to the ship on the fourth at 7AM for a informational meeting and ship familiarization walk through for new crew. Beginning on the 4th of Jan this Blog should become active on a daily or more frequent basis.

Well the adventure has begun...sort of. Rick left for Hawaii on the 23rd from Billings to have a short Holiday with his family on the island of Maui. Art will be leaving for Hawaii on the 28th for a short vacation with his wife prior to the cruise. I have included a couple of videos to help make the trip more real for those of you following our adventure.
Flying into Seattle at dawn on the 23rd allows for a great view of the Cascade Volcanoes.

After leaving Seattle there is a lot of nothing to see from 37,000 feet...

that is except for the clouds and the ocean...and the plane.
